Kayachikitsa (General Medicine) – The subject and the department deals with the root cause of the illness and have capacity to manage the homeostasis in the sufferings. The core concept of the subject is to restore Kaya (Agni), which is unique and is responsible factor for various bio-chemical mechanisms. The word Kaya also means body hence to maintain the healthy body it is highly desired to normalize various pathological mechanisms happened due to diseases. The process of normalization of all pathological mechanism is called as Chikitsa (treatment). The aim of the department is to prevent, cure the diseases as well as maintain and promote healthy environment in the body for longevity. The subject imparts various treatment skills in upcoming Vaidyas to serve the humanity by reducing various illnesses of mankind. The department have well established outdoor and indoor patient units.

Panchakarma (Bio-Purification) – The subject deals with the bio-purification procedure which removes vitiated bio-materials responsible for disease creation. By this way it rejuvenates body, mind and refresh the functioning organs. It is very much beneficial for overall health, wellness and self-healing. Not only a diseased one but also a healthy person can adopt Panchakarma procedures to clean the body which get disturbed by seasonal or food-habit behaviours. The Panchakarma includes the five detoxification procedures comprises of Vamana (therapeutic emesis), Virechana (therapeutic purgation), Basti (therapeutic enema), Raktamokshana (therapeutic blood-letting) and Nasya (nasal instillation of drugs). Apart from this there are many sub-procedures practiced under this subject like Shirodhara, Shirobasti, Pizhichil,Udvartanam, Patra pinda Swedana, Sashtikshalipinda Sweda, Akshitarpana, etc. The aim of the department is to provide the best Panchakarma services to the patients as well as to make the students practically and clinically sound. Being a very practical subject the students get a best platform to make themselves sustainable in the Ayurvedic field. The department facilitates charts and models for demonstration of procedures, a well furnished Separate male and female general Panchakarma wards with sophisticated instruments and equipments. The department has well trained male and female co-workers to sponsor general as well as Hi-tech Panchakarma for privileged patients attending outdoor and indoor unit.

SHALYATANTRA: (General Surgery)-The expression “Shalya Tantra” deals with Shastra Karma i.e. surgery. Ultimately, the subject deals with the application of various Surgical & Para-surgical procedures mentioned in Ayurveda like Rakta-Mokshana (Bloodletting), Agnikarma (Cauterization), Kshara Karma (Local application of plant extract Caustic), etc. The aim of the department is to explore traditional surgical knowledge by thoroughly understanding the texts like Sushruta Samhita to serve the mankind. The Department has performed various Ano-rectal surgeries for various recurrent medical conditions like Fistula-in-Ano, Piles & Fissure-in-Ano with a day care stay. A practical demonstration of surgical procedures on the patient is carried out for the skillfull knowledge to the students. The department facilitates separate OPD, IPD for the patient as well as well equipped Operation Theatre with all updated facilities. Also having OPD attached Minor Operation Theatre for performing various minor surgical procedures (I&D, Suturing, Extraction of Foreign body, KS Insertion, Kshar Karma, Agnikarma, Jalokavacharan, Management of fracture, Wound Dressing, circumcision etc.

Shalakya Tantra (ENT, Ophthalmology & Dentistry) – The name Shalakya is related with the instrument called ‘Shalaka’ which is used in diagnosis as well as treatment of various eye, ear-nose-throat and dental complaints. The main aim of the department is to cure and prevent the diseases like blindness, deafness, oral cancers, etc. It imparts its field of expertise in through speciality OPD on the said diseases by performing various Ayurvedic procedures like Netra Tarpana, Karna Puran, Bidalak, etc along with the modern diagnostic procedures like Refraction, Tonometry, Retinoscopy, Fundoscopy, etc. The department is enabled with separate dark roomand Dental unit for various procedures like tooth extraction, RCT, denture fitting etc. The department is attached with an operation theatre for surgical procedure related to ophthalmology & ENT. Ultimately, the students and the patients have enormous chance to get resolved their education thirsts and cure respectively

Stri-Roga and Prasuti-Tantra (Gynecology-Obstetrics) – The department is broadly classified into Stri-Roga and Prasuti-Tantra. The unit of Stri-roga offers complete expertise in the Ayurvedic management of all Gynaecological diseases where as Prasuti-Tantra is focusing on knowledge regarding diagnosis, investigation and Ayurvedic treatment in antenatal care, pregnancy complications, delivery and post delivery care. The aim of the department is to provide good academic and practical knowledge of Ayurveda and contemporary science in the field of Prasuti (Obstetrics) and Stri-Roga (Gynaecology). The department offers academic & clinical skill with an aim to educate the civilization to practice Ayurvedic concepts for attaining healthy progeny. The department is equipped with labour room, neonatal care unit, operation theatre, diagnostic facilities and a station of various sponsored programs of the government.

Kaumarbhritya (Pediatrics) – “Kaumarbhritya” a word derived from two words i.e. “Kaumara” means children and “Bhritya” means to ‘take-care of’, ultimately it deals with the preventive and curative aspects of health in foetus, infants, children and adolescents. The department aims to give immune-sufficient and intelligent children to the society. It also aims to educate the mother and guardian regarding rational baby care by inculcating skills of paediatric management. The department is enriched with IPD, OPD and NICU provisions. Especially, the department regularly undertakes Suvarnaprashana on mass scale which is considered as an Ayurvedic immunization procedure.

Swasthavritta (Preventive Medicine & Hygiene) – The department deals with prevention of diseases through educating healthy life style attributing Hygiene, Diet, Yoga and Naturopathy. The department carries the activities like community health, surveys, health camps, health promotion and prevention of the diseases in and around the village areas. It also undertakes research activities to strengthen preventive measures updated with the existing scenario. The department imparts the knowledge in students concerning preventive aspects of Ayurveda and Contemporary science by making them aware of various Government National Health Programs. The department also focus on practical knowledge of various Yogic ideology like Shudhikriya,Yogasana, Pranayama, Dharana, Yoga Nidra, etc along with Pathya-pathya (DOs & DONTs) according to diseases, nutritive value of each food items, role of healthy food habits, etc. The department bestowed with Swasth-Rakshana OPD a special unit in Hospital with yoga hall for patients. The department also have developed museum with models charts & specimens.
